IRDETO Integrates Conditional Access Solutions with SIDSA

SIDSA, a leading expert in content and business model protection solutions and services, announced an integrated offering to include IRDETO Conditional Access System (CAS) within the SIDSA Common Interface Conditional Access Module (CI CAM) with the main focus on the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) market in Spain.

SIDSA has developed a cost-effective ultra-secure environment based upon its K1 security chipset that can be integrated into set-top boxes (STB) and conditional access modules (CAM). 

Irdeto offers pay-TV operators a versatile, modular and scalable CAS that protects content conveyed over cable, satellite, terrestrial, IP, mobile and hybrid networks. It provides the highest levels of protection possible against the theft of content, assets and revenues, and enables a wide range of revenue- and royalty-generating services to help operators grow their business. Irdeto’s solution provides support for open platform implementations of receiver devices in a horizontal market. This model enables the support for multi device market implementation with the possibility of Over-The-Air downloads for software upgrades of security and interactive features.
