IEC Commends Exceptional Contributions in Broadband with Announcement of 2009 InfoVision Awards Finalists

The International Engineering Consortium will name the industry’s finest at the InfoVision Awards ceremony during the Broadband World Forum Europe 2009 this 7-9 September at the CNIT La Défense in Paris, France.

The International Engineering Consortium (IEC) announced the finalists of its InfoVision Awards program naming the technologies, applications, products, advances and services judged as the most unique and beneficial to the information and communications technologies (ICT) industry.


The finalists were selected by a panel of judges chosen from the Broadband World Forum Europe 2009 program committee, consisting of industry experts from vendor companies, service providers and industry associations. The IEC will announce winners on Monday, 7 September at 14:00 at the World Forum.


"We are pleased to distinguish these leaders and top products for the ICT community," commented IEC President John Janowiak. "We're grateful to all participants of this year's InfoVision Awards program for it’s the commitment of innovators like these to technology advancement that drives all industries forward. We must also thank the judges for analyzing the numerous submissions received this year.”


The 2009 InfoVision finalists include the following companies and products in their respective categories:

To protect the privacy of finalist companies in Category 10, product names will not be announced until the InfoVision Award ceremony at Broadband World Forum Europe 2009.


Products eligible — InfoVision Awards were commercially announced or in deployment in
Europe prior to the Broadband World Forum Europe 2009 (with the exception of submissions in the New Product Concepts category).
