Operator’s network capacity will get worse before they get better, according to Aditya Kaul a mobile networks practice director. Operators must make their networks more efficient and not by just not adding capacity to their network. Vendors hope to optimize the different parts of the network and base station.
AT&T needs to do more upgrading to their network. Their problems include two main focuses, too much data traffic from smartphone users and too much signal traffic. AT&T needs DPI, router/transport optimization and UE client software installed on their smartphone.
Vendors like Tektronix Communications, Anritsu, Agilent and Astellia will provide the many different solutions to operators that help improve the network. To meet those needs, solutions are arriving from a variety of vendors including Tektronix Communications, Anritsu, Agilent, EXFO and Astellia. This group is where the innovation will come from when optimizing the networks.
“Mobile Network Optimization”, the name of the report, explores the market drivers and end-user demand for monitoring and optimization equipment related to 3G and 4G networks. It highlights market dynamics leading to new operator business strategies, and includes detailed forecasts. It is part of the Mobile Networks Research Service.
It’s important for the operators to research the different companies to see where they can make improvements to their network. Smartphone purchases is the one area of the device market that’s increasing at a rate higher than the operators can supply the spectrum space.
