NEC Appoints New President and CEO to its Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia/CIS Business

NEC Europe announced the appointment of Naoki Iizuka to the position of President and CEO of NEC Europe Ltd. He will lead NEC’s business in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia/CIS (EMEA region).

“NEC is poised to enable its customers reap the rewards of the cloud revolution and I am excited to lead the business in EMEA. We will help our customers achieve continued and new successes with our focus on cloud computing, integrating IT and communication network resources, skill sets and expertise,” said Mr Iizuka.

Mr Iizuka has over 30 years experience providing solutions and services to customers around the world in the IT and telecoms industry including Oracle Corporation, Alcatel Lucent and others. He has also worked for NEC Corporation and NEC UK in London, where he will return in his new role.

Iizuka succeeds Nobuyuki Yanaginuma, who will return to Japan to take up his new position as Associate Senior Vice President and Executive General Manager of Global Carrier Solutions Operations Unit, NEC Corporation.

“Mr Iizuka brings NEC his strategic expertise, proved leadership and excellent customer service credentials. I am delighted to hand over the driving seat to Mr Iizuka and believe he will continue to the success of NEC in EMEA,” said Mr Yanaginuma.
