XM Turns to iPods to Deliver Content

XM Satellite Radio said that select original music, news and sports series from its platform are available as free podcasts for download through xmradio.com and Apple's iTunes Store.

The offering was made available this week. Through the service, users can download XM content hosted by personalities Bob Edwards, James Carville, Luke Russert, Barry Switzer and shock jocks Opie and Anthony, as well as exclusive XM music and comedy programming.

Also available is XM Weekly Music featuring resident music experts, artist interviews and live performances. And iPod users can access XM Artist Confidential: Green Room.

New episodes of each show that air on XM will be available to podcast subscribers on the day following its premiere, the company said.
