Gilat Satellite Networks Puts Remote India in the Know
Now remote citizens in the state of Gujarat, India, will receive information, communications and e-governance services with the help of more than 13,000 SkyEdge IP VSATS.
Bharti Airtel, a leading telecommunications operator in India, has placed an order with Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. to supply the SkyEdge IP VSATs to deliver broadband Internet services to kiosks in India. This is not the first time the two companies have worked together. Their history dates to 2001 when Bharti used the services of Gilat in thousands of India's corporations, bank ATMs and other customers across the country with its existing networks based on Gilat's technology.
