Nokia Siemens Networks delivers wireless broadband network to rural upstart Stelera Wireless

Stelera Wireless has launched the first two markets of its rural broadband networks build in the United States. Nokia Siemens Networks has supplied an end-to-end network solution and turnkey services for this initial deployment and will continue to do so as the network expands.

“We consider it no easy feat that Stelera Wireless is one of the first carriers to commercially launch a network in the AWS spectrum bands,” said Ed Evans, CEO, Stelera Wireless. “Nokia Siemens Networks has been excellent in working with us to ensure fast time to market with the most advanced and effective broadband wireless technology available today for the AWS spectrum.”

Stelera is a wireless startup that is focused on delivering broadband services in rural communities. It owns 42 AWS licenses across the United States covering almost 6 million people. AWS licenses were auctioned by the FCC last year and utilize the 2.1 GHz and 1.7 GHz bands.
