IEC honors innovative contributions with infovision awards at Broadband World Forum Europe 2005

Honoring innovative contributions to progress in the information industry, the International Engineering Consortium (IEC) today announced the InfoVision Award winners at this year’s Broadband World Forum Europe, held 3–6 October in Madrid, Spain.

The InfoVision Award program recognizes corporations and individuals for pioneering developments in technologies, applications, products, advances, and services judged to be the most unique and beneficial in the telecommunications industry.

With hundreds of submissions and only two winners in each of the eight categories, the highly-coveted awards gave tribute to those catalyzing positive change in technology, business, and academia, completely in line with the IEC’s mission.

    The IEC’s Broadband World Forum Europe, unparallel to any other communications event, is hosting more than 90 exhibitors, more than 4,000 attendees, and presenting more than 160 sessions over four days at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos de Madrid. The two-day WiMAX Global ComForum also is taking place at the event, addressing technology and business challenges associated with WiMAX wireless broadband networks. Encouraging professionals to learn and share information, both events fulfill the IEC’s commitment to catalyzing positive change in technology, business, and academia.
