ECI Telecom announces the new BG-20

The BG -20 provides telecom operators with a clear migration path from legacy services to new carrier-class data services based on its Layer 1 and Layer 2 Ethernet capabilities.
Complementing the BG -20B is the BG -20E that includes unique expansion capabilities, which can be easily integrated into the platform.
The BG -20 eliminates the need to remove existing equipment or buy additional equipment as the unit itself can be easily expanded to convert interfaces for the SDH/SONET network.
With the growth in Ethernet data services, the BG -20 allows customers to deliver an affordable mix of Ethernet, SDH/SONET, PDH and PCM services with complete Quality of Service (QoS) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) assurances.
Complete with ECI's LightSoft network management system, the BG -20 delivers full remote management capabilities with support for multiple interfaces and traffic types. The BG -20B is available now. The extension unit, BG -20E, will be available in Q3 2006.
