Korea's Dreamline Selects ECI Telecom to Upgrade Network for 3G Services

19 июня 2006
ECI Telecom announced that Dreamline (South Korea), has selected ECI's optical solutions for the upgrade and expansion of its nationwide network to support next generation services. With ECI's solutions, Dreamline will be able to provide its customers with new and advanced services, bring in additional revenue-generating opportunities, and increase Average Revenue per User (ARPU).

As part of the agreement, Dreamline will deploy ECI's solution in its nationwide network, which is expected to reach approximately 10,000 kilometers throughout South Korea. The two companies have been working together successfully since 1998 and as a result, Dreamline already has thousands of ECI's platforms installed in their network.

"We had evaluated several other solutions before making a commitment to ECI's technology," said Chang-Ho Kim, CTO of Dreamline. "We found that ECI's optical solutions are by far the most reliable and scalable. ECI has the ability to meet the challenges of our current expansion and help us become an increasingly competitive provider of 3G services. We plan to consider ECI for even more orders in the near future."

ECI's XDM-50 optical platform carries voice and data services over Ethernet, SDH/SONET and CWDM. It is a highly reliable solution for the cost-sensitive metro access and cellular markets. It is also highly scalable, which helps operators address increasing demand for capacity and new services.

"Dreamline has been a great partner to us and we are delighted that our XDM product is quickly becoming recognized as an ideal solution for the cellular backhaul market," said Aviel Tenenbaum, President of ECI Telecom's Asia Pacific Regional Business Unit.
