Motorola, Nokia support PoC standard
Motorola, Nokia and Sonim have announced a commercial road map for OMA push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) standard phones and servers. The OMA PoC standard was formally ratified by the OMA in June, and several major European operators are poised to roll it out in the next six months, paving the way for PTT interoperability in Europe. The biggest question mark for the PoC standard is in the U.S. The industry is littered with proprietary PTT solutions, and it doesn't appear operators are looking for interoperability any time soon.
