Intel delivers WiMAX Connection 2250
Intel is anything if not persistent. The company has just announced the availability of the Intel WiMAX Connection 2250, the company's next-generation SOC aiming to support mobile and fixed networks. The company says
the WiMAX Connection 2250 is the industry's first dual-mode baseband chip, and, what is more, that when it is paired with Intel's tri-band WiMAX radio, the solution will support all global WiMAX frequencies.
Motorola will incorporate the Connection 2250 into its CPEi 200 series of WiMAX CPE. Other manufacturers will likely follow in Motorola's foot steps.
