Intelsat Names Seasoned Executive

16 февраля 2007
Intelsat announced the appointment of William Shernit as the new President of its subsidiary Intelsat General. Intelsat General provides innovative communications solutions primarily to military and civilian government customers.

“Intelsat wanted a seasoned business executive with a proven track record to head Intelsat General, but we also wanted someone who had served in the U.S. Government and understood the needs of our government customers,” said Dave McGlade, the CEO of Intelsat. “In Bill Shernit, we have the best of both worlds, a man whose career of outstanding achievement spanned service at a high level in the government and business leadership at a large government contractor.”

“I am very much looking forward to leading Intelsat General,” said Mr. Shernit. “I am confident we can build on the solid foundation of performance and take to a new level Intelsat General’s service to the U.S. government and other governments.”
