13 июля 2007
From June 3, AT&T’s wireless unit will gives subscribers the ability to send international text messages to mobile users in 140 other countries for as little as 10 cents per text, which it claims is 50 percent less than pay-per-use rates. AT&T said its international long distance calling plan subscribers can add 100 international SMS messages for an additional $9.99 per month. The 100 messages excludes picture or video messages and only applies to messages sent, not received. Received messages will count toward domestic SMS plans or pay-per-use rates. AT&T subs can still pay-per-use for international SMS messages: "Just $0.20 to send a message from the U.S. to international destinations, and just $0.15 to receive one," according to AT&T's website.

International picture and video messages can only be sent to Canadian subscribers of Aliant Telecom Mobility, Bell Mobility, MTS Communications, Rogers/Microcell, Telus Mobility. It's just $0.50 to send a message from the U.S. to international destinations, and just $0.25 to receive one.
