Hughes Launches European Services

02 августа 2007
Satellite broadband provider Hughes Network Systems is now offering "general availability" of its HughesNet Managed Network Services across Europe. The company's suite of virtual private network (VPN) solutions for multi-site enterprise networks affords clients the choice of broadband access technologies - like DSL, satellite, private line or any combination - at each site.

The company said its HughesNet Managed Network Services includes both optimized and high-availability VPNs.

HughesNet optimized VPN provides customers with a single service management interface, delivering an immediate view of service status whether access is provided by landline or satellite. The company said it will deploy more than 4,00 lines of ADSL sites for enterprise customers in the U.K., Germany and other countries later this year thanks to several wholesale arrangements with many European providers.

HughesNet high-availability VPN, the company said, "is a unique solution for access continuity that uses both DSL and satellite at each site to mitigate the business impact of network failure and service disruption."
