Shop Latino TV Selects Intelsat for Its North American Cable Distribution Platform

Under the agreement, Intelsat will provide complete hybrid transmission services for Shop Latino, TV's first 24-hour Hispanic shopping network. Programming will originate from Shop Latino TV's Miami, Florida studios and backhauled via Intelsat's fiber network to Intelsat's teleport in Ellenwood, Georgia. From there, Shop Latino's signal will be uplinked to Intelsat's Galaxy 13 satellite, providing access to thousands of cable headends throughout North America.

Shop Latino TV joins a prestigious lineup of marquee customers on Galaxy 13 that includes HBO, TV Japan, British Broadcasting Corporation and Turner Network Television. In addition, Galaxy 13 is Intelsat's premiere HD neighborhood.
