Mobile broadband plans of rural operators

Now that the federal government has completed its process of giving out broadband stimulus awards, it's only fitting that we give some clarity to what has been awarded on the wireless side, as well as highlight the fact that some operators are introducing wireless broadband services without stimulus money.

Not surprisingly, WiMAX is set to become a dominant wireless broadband technology in rural America, but LTE may not be far behind as Verizon Wireless  is actively courting rural cellular operators to help it expand its LTE footprint. Below is a list of operators and their plans for rural America.
